Using Grammarly on the Tymbrel Platform

The Grammarly extension helps writers make sure that their content is grammatically correct and consistent. It’s a great tool, so here’s how to use it on Tymbrel without breaking your code!

In recent months, many smartcodes have been injured in Grammarly extension-related accidents on the Tymbrel Platform.

Fortunately, it’s easy to prevent these tragedies. Read on to find out how you can use Grammarly safely with Tymbrel.

What is Grammarly?

Grammarly is an extension for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge that allows writers to scan their content for potential grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and style issues.

It scans your work, shows you where the issues are, and suggests how to fix them. It’s a really helpful tool!

Does the Grammarly Extension work with the Tymbrel content management system?

Yes - sort of.

Grammarly can cause our smartcodes to break, because it inserts HTML code into the page that you are editing. So when you save your work with Grammarly running, it can cause some problems.

However, you can use the Grammarly extension with Tymbrel! You just have to remember to do one simple thing:

Before hitting “SAVE”, turn the Grammarly extension OFF.

Click on the Grammarly icon in your list of extensions and toggle off ‘Check for Grammar and Spelling’. Doing this will remove Grammarly’s HTML from your content, preventing smartcode breakage.
