We've got to say... we are really excited by what's happening in Niagara!
The first ever Niagara Technology Summit took place on Wednesday at the state-of-the-art Scotia Bank Convention Centre (Niagara Falls) and hundreds of small business owners showed up to learn, connect and share their business needs and solutions.
Our CMSIntelligence team supported the event as a vendor, showcasing our web design and software solutions for Niagara's small to medium sized businesses.
But, we didn't just stand in our booth looking pretty. No, siree... we went to class and learned some really valuable stuff during the breakout sessions.
During a Social Media Marketing session, Allie Hughes at Hughes & Co brought us up to speed about the latest and greatest in social media.
Larry Anderson of Trigger Strategies also presented and stated that, "Your web presence should be the hub of your marketing strategy." (We agree with Larry!!)
We also attended a powerful talk by Peter Corbiere from the Business Development Bank on 'Building a Winning Internet Strategy' and found out there are all kinds of ways the BDC can help start-ups, and small and medium sized businesses to be successful. Peter talked about how crucial it is to have a web presence that ties closely to your business strategy. Good stuff. If you missed his workshop, you can catch him again on May 15th at the BDC offices in St. Catharines. Give them a call to find out more.
We'll have more to say about some of the other great people and businesses we heard from that day in a future blog, but it's time to get back to work.
